The biannual meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Narakas), Shimla (Office-2), constituted under the chairmanship of SJVN Limited, was held today at the SJVN Limited premises. The meeting was chaired by SJVN Director (Personnel), Ajay Kumar Sharma. The meeting reviewed the use of Hindi in central government offices in Shimla and discussed ways to achieve the targets set by the Government of India.

In his presidential address, SJVN Director (Personnel), Ajay Kumar Sharma, who chaired the meeting, said that all member offices are doing commendable work in their respective offices and that they should maintain this momentum and make every possible effort to complete maximum work in Hindi. During the meeting, Chairman Ajay Kumar Sharma handed over the charge of Chairmanship of Narakas, Shimla (Office-2) to the Reserve Bank of India and extended his heartfelt congratulations to them.

Present at the meeting was Anoop Kishore, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, who stated that SJVN Limited's Narakas, Shimla (Office-2), chaired by SJVN Limited, has been performing its duties effectively since 2015 and has been successfully organizing regular meetings and other events from time to time, for which SJVN Limited deserves commendation. He also stated that the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language has also praised Narakas, Shimla (Office-2), constituted under the chairmanship of SJVN Limited.

The Corporation's Department Head (Human Resources), Baljeet Singh, and Member-Secretary, Narakas-2, Shimla, Ashish Pant, were also present on the occasion. Fifty-four senior officials from central government offices, undertakings, and banks based in Shimla participated in the committee meeting.
