REC partners with Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology
REC Limited Partners with Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT) to Establish 100 Smart Classrooms in Assam.
Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, REC Limited has sanctioned ₹4.22 crore for the project, “Establishing 100 Smart Classrooms in 100 Government Schools in the Lakhimpur and Kaziranga regions of Assam.”
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on July 2, 2026, at REC's Corporate Office in Gurugram. The agreement t was executed between Shri L. B. Nautiyal, HoD (CSR), REC Limited, and Shri B. Vinod Kumar, Director, IGIAT, in the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and other officials.
This collaboration reflects REC's commitment to promoting equitable access to quality education and supporting sustainable development. By integrating advanced educational technology into classrooms, the initiative aims to transform the learning environment in Assam, bridge the digital divide, and equip students with the digital skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
