REC Ltd has signed a contract with RITES Ltd., a Schedule ‘A’ CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

The contract was signed today by Yogendra Singh, GM & HoD (PMD Quality), REC, and Akshaya Kumar Swain, Add. GM, RITES Limited, in the presence of officials from both organizations at REC’s Corporate Office, Gurugram.

Under this engagement, RITES will serve as REC’s Third-Party Quality Monitoring Agency (TPQMA) for carrying out Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) of Power Transformers to be deployed across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh under RDSS.
