As part of its ongoing initiative to bridge the gap between Academia and Industry, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited’s Training Centre, Trombay Unit, successfully conducted a 2-day Faculty Development Program (Industry–Academia Interface) from July 16, 2026 to July 17, 2026. The program was organized for faculty members from various academic institutions across India, namely: 1. MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi, Pune; D Y Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur; Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering & Technology, Warananagar; RNC Arts, JDB Commerce and NSC Science College, Nashik; Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Nashik; Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere; MCT’S, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Andheri, Mumbai.

The inaugural function was graced by Niranjan Sonak, Director (Marketing) as the Chief Guest, alongside Ms Nanda N Kulkarni, Executive Director (HRD), both of whom addressed the participants and shared valuable insights into the company’s diverse operations.

To ensure maximum knowledge sharing and highlight the latest technological advancements, the comprehensive training curriculum covered:

Plant Operations & Site Visits: In-depth training on Urea and Ammonia Plant Processes, complemented by guided on-site plant visits.

Engineering & Instrumentation: Sessions on Process Control & Instrumentation and Mechanical Maintenance Practices at RCF.

Safety & Industrial Regulations: Comprehensive modules on Safety Rules & Regulations, Electrical Safety Practices and an Overview of Fire & Safety featuring a practical demonstration.

By equipping educators with first-hand industrial exposure, this program aims to transfer groundbreaking industry knowledge back to the classroom, ultimately benefiting students nationwide.
