NSDC explores avenues with Zenken Corporation for expanding opportunities across Japanese industries
The longstanding India–Japan partnership in skills and human-resource exchange continues to create new opportunities for Indian talent, with Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), engaging with Zenken Corporation to explore avenues for expanding opportunities across Japanese industries.

As a continuation of the existing partnership between NSDC International and Zenken Corporation, the engagement culminated in the renewal of the Agreement, further strengthening collaboration to expand the partnership across multiple industries and create greater pathways for Indian talent to access opportunities in Japan.

The partnership will also focus on extending Japanese language training, establishing a Japanese Train-the-Trainer Academy, and setting up Japanese-style Domain Labs in India—building the skills, language capabilities and industry readiness required for a workforce prepared for global opportunities.

The engagement also brought together NSDCI-trained Indian candidates, their employers, Japanese companies and business associations, creating a platform to connect talent with industry and understand emerging workforce requirements in Japan.

This collaboration advances the vision articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a new wave of people-to-people exchanges between India and Japan, including the movement of 50,000 skilled Indian personnel and potential talent to Japan over the next five years. By expanding industry partnerships and strengthening Japan-ready capabilities in India, the Agreement Renewal with Zenken takes this vision from intent to action.
