NSDC CEO delivers special address at FICCI Global Skills summit
As Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape industries, occupations and business models, the question is no longer just what AI can do, but how quickly our people and institutions can adapt.

At the 17th FICCI Global Skills Summit 2026, Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, NSDC, delivered a Special Address during the session on “AI-Powered Future – Rethinking Skills, Jobs and Learning.”

Drawing on emerging evidence and NSDC’s work on AI’s impact across sectors, he highlighted how AI is changing the task composition of jobs, shifting the premium towards human capabilities such as judgement, verification, context and accountability, and creating an urgent need for faster, more responsive skilling systems. The way forward is clear: as work is re-specified, learning must keep pace.
