Amitava Mukherjee, CMD, NMDC, along with the Functional Directors, reviewed the progress and trial operations at the Pellet Plant, including the slurry receiving tanks, induration machine, burner firing, additive grinding and Central Control Room.

A comprehensive review with package contractors and the ground team covered system interfaces and the pre-commissioning action plan for the entire system — from the IOPP at Bacheli and the Slurry Pipeline to the Pellet Plant at Nagarnar.

Commissioning this 2.0 MTPA Pellet Plant, along with the 2.0 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant and Slurry Pipeline, will strengthen NMDC’s integrated value chain — adding greater value to iron ore and powering India’s iron and steel growth story.
