NHPC observes B P Mandal’s birth anniversary
In his address during the program, Bhupendra Gupta, CMD, NHPC, said that B P Mandal was not just a politician, but a powerful voice for the deprived and backward classes of the country. Through the Mandal Commission, he provided an important ideological foundation for social justice and equal opportunity, which had a far-reaching impact on Indian society. He stated that Mandal's life is an inspiring example of honesty, vision, social commitment, and national service. He added that today, as the country moves forward with the resolve of a "Developed India @ 2047," the spirit of inclusive development and equal opportunity becomes even more important. We owe a debt of gratitude to B P Mandal. Taking inspiration from Mandal's ideology, we should play our role with full dedication, sensitivity and excellence for the development and empowerment of every section of the society.
