Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC met with H E Lyonpo Gem Tshering, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Royal Government of Bhutan and Chairman, Punatsangchhu-I HE Project Authority, along with the Bhutanese delegation in New Delhi.

The meeting was also attended by the Directors of NHPC Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects); Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical); Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) and Paresh Ranpara, Director (Personnel) along with Parthajit Dey, Director (Finance), SJVN.

Various issues and matters pertaining to hydropower development in Bhutan were discussed at length. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and exploring avenues for the expeditious development of hydropower projects, further reinforcing the strong and enduring partnership between India and Bhutan in the renewable energy sector.
