During his visit to Mizoram on 22nd and 23rd June 2026, Dr. Krishan Kumar, Managing Director, NHIDCL, held high-level meetings with Lalduhoma, Chief Minister of Mizoram; General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.), Governor of Mizoram; and Khilli Ram Meena, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Mizoram, to review the progress of National Highway projects and discuss measures for expediting their implementation across the state.

The discussions focused on key aspects of project implementation, including construction progress, land acquisition, utility shifting, and the resolution of project-related challenges. Emphasis was laid on enhancing coordination between NHIDCL and the Government of Mizoram to facilitate the timely execution of ongoing highway projects and strengthen connectivity in the region.

The State Government assured its full cooperation in addressing implementation issues and supporting the early completion of critical infrastructure works. The meetings reaffirmed the shared commitment of NHIDCL and the Government of Mizoram towards accelerating highway development, improving transportation infrastructure, and fostering socio-economic growth through enhanced road connectivity.
