Shalabh Goel, MD, NCRTC, delivered the keynote address at the 7th Rail & Metro Technology Conclave & Expo 2026 highlighting India's remarkable progress in urban rail projects and the transformative role of Namo Bharat RRTS in shaping the next generation of regional mobility.

He shared key insights from the successful implementation of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, demonstrating how high-speed, reliable and commuter-centric regional rail can redefine mobility across metropolitan regions.

Goel also stressed the importance of strengthening indigenous capabilities through technology transfer, localisation of critical components, innovation-led manufacturing and globally competitive standards, enabling India to emerge as a global hub for rail and metro technologies and mobility solutions.
