NABARD welcomed a high-level delegation from Nigeria for an interactive knowledge-sharing session on social finance, the SHG-Bank Linkage programme, responsible finance safeguards, and enterprise survival.

The programme commenced with a keynote address by Nabin Kumar Roy, Chief General Manager, NABARD, followed by insightful addresses from Dr Ruchira Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), and Dr Olubisi Fasuyi, Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Chief Consultant, Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Ltd., Nigeria.

The delegation was visiting India as part of a study tour organised by NIRDPR-National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The interactions provided an opportunity to showcase India's experience in promoting inclusive rural development, financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods, while further strengthening India–Nigeria cooperation through the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
