Speaking in the panel 'Building the AI-Ready Bank' at the Sarvam Epoch 2026, Enterprise Edition, Dr Shaji Krishnan V., Chairman, NABARD, emphasised the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure and advanced analytics in building resilient, technology-enabled and future-ready financial institutions. The Chairman also shared NABARD's vision for accelerating the digital transformation of cooperative banks through Sahakar Sarathi Private Limited (SSPL).

Sarvam Epoch 2026, India's Frontier AI Conference hosted by Sarvam AI, brought together leaders from enterprises, banks and government agencies to showcase the adoption of secure, indigenous generative AI across organisations.

During the conference, Chairman NABARD held discussions with Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, NVIDIA  South Asia, to discuss opportunities for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to further strengthen SSPL's offerings and support the modernisation of the cooperative banking ecosystem.
