MECL: Strengthening vigilance through digital transformation

MECL: Strengthening vigilance through digital transformation
The launch of the Vigilance Status Portal, along with the release of the Vigilance Manual–2026 and 11 Master Circulars, by Dr T V Somanathan, Cabinet Secretary, at the Central Vigilance Commission on 27 July 2026 marks an important step toward modernizing vigilance administration. These initiatives are designed to enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and enable faster, technology-driven processing of vigilance clearance proposals.

Representing MECL, Indra Dev Narayan, CMD, and Pradeep Kumar, CVO, attended the launch programme virtually, reaffirming the organization's commitment to adopting best practices in vigilance, ethical governance, and institutional integrity.

The updated Vigilance Manual–2026 and the consolidated 11 Master Circulars provide a comprehensive and user-friendly framework for stakeholders, making vigilance guidelines more accessible and easier to implement. Together, these reforms reflect the Government's continued focus on fostering accountability, transparency, and good governance across public sector institutions.
