The Interaction on Seafarer Security, Safety & Seafarer Welfare and Inauguration of E-Samudra project being held at Mumbai commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal and Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways IAS, Vijay Kumar, along with distinguished dignitaries and senior officials at Mumbai.

The ceremonial lamp lighting symbolised the spirit of progress, knowledge and collective commitment towards strengthening seafarer welfare, enhancing maritime safety and building a future-ready maritime ecosystem for India.
