The upgraded CSB Silkworm Seed Production Centre (SSPC), Malavalli, was inaugurated by P Sivakumar, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, in the presence of Girisha P S, IAS, Director (Finance), CSB, and Dr S Manthira Moorthy, Director, CSB–NSSO.

During the visit, the dignitaries reviewed the centre’s activities and modernized infrastructure.  P Sivakumar appreciated the efforts of NSSO and the centre’s team in upgrading the facility and suggested it as a model for other SSPCs. He also interacted with scientists and Adopted Seed Rearers, emphasizing stakeholder coordination, field outreach, timely technology dissemination, and quality seed supply to strengthen the growth of the sericulture sector.
