IIM Mumbai inaugurates executive certificate program in digital transformation & AI
IIM Mumbai inaugurated the Executive Certificate Program in Digital Transformation & AI on 4th July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to developing future-ready leaders for the AI-driven digital era.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by B Venugopal Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, who highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and continuous upskilling in strengthening governance and higher education. We sincerely thank him and the Government of Maharashtra for their valued support and partnership.
The event was presided over by Prof. Manoj K Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai. In his address, he underscored the importance of embracing digital transformation and AI to build future-ready institutions and leaders. We gratefully acknowledge his visionary leadership and continued commitment to advancing executive education and industry–academia collaboration through such impactful initiatives.
The inaugural ceremony featured addresses by Prof Vivekanand B Khanapuri, Dean (SRIC), and Prof. Sushmita Narayana, Professor In-charge, Industry Connect & Executive Education. We extend our sincere gratitude for their guidance, encouragement, and continued support in strengthening executive education and industry–academia collaboration.
The session also featured insightful industry perspectives from Gaurang Tiwari (GE HealthCare), Mr. Hemant Gopinath (Global Big Tech), and Mr. Rahul Gupta (Big Four Consulting Firm). We sincerely thank them for their guidance, leadership, and valuable contributions.
We thank the Program Co-ordinators Prof. Purnima Sangle, Prof. Rofin T M, and Prof. Jasashwi Mandal for their dedication and academic leadership in successfully launching this program. We thank IIM Mumbai SRIC office for their excellent coordination and support in making this program possible.
Delivered by IIM Mumbai in collaboration with TeamLease, the Institute's empanelled EdTech partner, the program has brought together senior officers and officials nominated by the Government of Maharashtra from the Higher and Technical Education Department, the Directorate of Higher Education, the Directorate of Technical Education, the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, and higher education institutions across the State, reflecting a shared vision of strengthening digital leadership and AI capabilities across Maharashtra's higher education ecosystem.
