IIM Calcutta: Raising Awareness, Building a TB-Free India

As part of the TB-Free India 100-Day Campaign, IIM Calcutta organised a TB Awareness Programme in line with the directives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about tuberculosis, promote early detection, and encourage collective efforts towards building a TB-free India.

The programme began with an inaugural address by Prof. Vivek Rajvanshi, Dean (Development & External Relations), followed by an informative lecture on tuberculosis by Dr. Asesh Chakrabarti, Resident Medical Doctor (RMD).

Participants also took the Ni-kshay Pledge, led by the RMD, reaffirming their commitment to eliminating TB. An interactive TB awareness quiz conducted by students further enhanced engagement. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Vijay Singh Virat, Chief Administrative Officer (In Charge).
