IGL Commercial Director attends ‘Annual Conclave - Digitization of CGD Networs’
In his address, he highlighted how digitisation is no longer merely an IT initiative, but a strategic enabler for sustainability, competitiveness, energy security and business resilience. He emphasised the role of AI, analytics, IoT, cloud, automation and integrated digital ecosystems in transforming CGD operations.
Sharing IGL’s digitalisation journey, he highlighted initiatives across operational efficiency, cost optimisation, customer experience, asset integrity and energy management, including smart metering, predictive maintenance, SCADA integration, GIS, digital twins, AI-enabled customer services and automated processes.
He further outlined IGL’s roadmap towards becoming an integrated, intelligent and predictive enterprise, with a focus on AI-enabled customer service, intelligent procurement and tendering, digital asset management, advanced analytics, cybersecurity and real-time decision-making.
As he aptly highlighted, “The future CGD company will not compete only on molecules, margins and network; it will compete on the intelligence of its network.”
