Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD, HUDCO delivered a Special Address during the inaugural session of the FICCI Urban Infrastructure & Innovation Summit 2026, centred on the theme “Cities as Engines of Growth.” He emphasized the importance of creating bankable and investment-ready urban projects, strengthening municipal finances, fostering collaborative partnerships, and embedding sustainability and climate resilience into every infrastructure investment.

The summit was inaugurated by  Mrs D Thara, Additional Secretary, MoHUA, alongside JVS Ramakrishna, Lead, FICCI Core Group on Urban Development; Mrs Jyoti Vij, DG, FICCI; and Jagan Shah, Professor, IIT Delhi.

HUDCO also participated in the panel discussion on “Urban Infrastructure & Blended Finance: Unlocking Capital for Infrastructure-Led Growth,” Dr. A K Sen, ED, UiWIN, shared insights on municipal asset and land monetization, municipal bonds and credit enhancement mechanisms, innovative financing models including loans, bonds and PPPs, and the pivotal role of financial institutions in enabling sustainable infrastructure-led growth.
