GVMC Commissioner takes firm action against littering in public places

GVMC Commissioner takes firm action against littering in public places
Littering in public places is unacceptable. During a field inspection, GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, IAS took a firm stand against improper waste disposal by directing sanitation staff to return the garbage dumped in front of a shop back to the shopkeeper as a symbolic "Return Gift." The action serves as a strong reminder that those who pollute public spaces will be held accountable.

The Commissioner warned that dumping waste on roads, footpaths, or in front of shops will attract strict action as per GVMC regulations. Shop owners and citizens are urged to store waste in dustbins and hand it over only to the designated door-to-door waste collection vehicles.

A clean Visakhapatnam is a shared responsibility. Let us all work together to keep our city clean, hygienic, and beautiful.
