GVMC Commissioner issues multiple directions to officials
GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, IAS directed officials to take up planned and permanent development, infrastructure improvement, cleanliness and beautification works with long-term public benefit as the priority.

During an extensive field inspection of RK Beach Road, the beachfront and surrounding areas, the Commissioner reviewed measures to make Visakhapatnam cleaner, greener, more attractive and more visitor-friendly.

Cleaner Beachfront: Strengthening waste management, public toilets, drinking water facilities and sanitation. Greener City: Enhancing greenery, medians, gardens and landscaped spaces. Better Public Infrastructure: Improving footpaths, roads, junctions and bus bays. Beautiful Streetscape: Modern lighting, decorative illumination and improved surroundings. Effective Waste Management: Additional twin bins and better systems for cleanliness. Sustainable Drainage: Connecting drains to the STP near Lumbini Park to prevent wastewater from entering the sea.  Organised Vending: Establishing designated vending zones for systematic and convenient street vending.

The vision is clear — a clean, green, beautiful and liveable Visakhapatnam that creates a lasting positive experience for citizens, tourists and visitors.
