GVMC accelerates construction of working women’s hostels
GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, IAS, inspected the construction of the Working Women’s Hostel at Madhurawada and directed officials to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Three modern Working Women’s Hostels are being developed at Madhurawada, Mudasarlova, and Gajuwaka with an investment of ₹119 crore, creating safe, secure, and well-equipped accommodation for 1,124 working women. The hostels will feature drinking water, power supply, lifts, fire safety systems, sanitation facilities, a dining hall, library, recreational spaces, security surveillance, indoor games, and other essential amenities.
With a focus on women's safety, dignity, and well-being, GVMC is committed to creating better urban infrastructure that supports education, employment, and an improved quality of life.
