A mega Farmers’ Training Programme was successfully organized by the Department of Agriculture, Miryalaguda, today at the local Rythu Vedika. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, drawing over 1,000 leading farmers from across the region, alongside top agriculture officials and prominent industry leaders.

The prestigious programme was formally inaugurated by the MLA of Miryalaguda, Bathula Laxma Reddy, who served as the Chief Guest. Accending the event as key dignitaries were Assistant Director of Agriculture (ADA) Jagadesh Reddy, Agricultural Officer (AO) Shri Rushendra Mani, and five Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) from the Miryalaguda Mandal, who actively facilitated the sessions.

The convention saw active participation from India's premier agricultural and fertilizer companies, including: Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (MFL); SPIC (Greenstar Fertilizers Ltd.); IFFCO; Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. (PPL); Coromandel International; Kaveri Seeds; Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.

In a collaborative showcase, Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (MFL) and SPIC shared a joint exhibition space to interact closely with the farming community.

Representing SPIC, Shri Mohamed Afridi delivered an insightful lecture on the benefits and modern techniques of Organic Farming. Following this, Agri.  S. Karuppaiah, Manager of Marketing (Telangana State) for Madras Fertilizers Ltd., addressed the massive gathering on critical modern agricultural practices. S Karuppaiah emphasized the vital importance of Soil Testing and the adoption of Balanced Fertilizer Application to optimize crop yields while preserving soil health. Informative educational handouts from MFL were also distributed to all participating farmers. Emphasis on PM-PRANAM (URAVK KI PATHSHAYA) given to fullfil the Hon PMs Narendra Modi ji Vision on Organic Farming and Balanced Fertilizers usage.

During the interactive session, MLA Bathula Laxma Reddy commended the Department of Agriculture and the participating companies for organizing such a high-impact event. Recognizing the crucial role of MFL in the region's agricultural success, the MLA formally requested Madras Fertilizers Ltd. to streamline and augment the supply of Urea to Telangana through both railway wagon and road movements, urging the public sector undertaking to extend its full support to the state’s farming community.

The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the strong partnership between the government, top agricultural corporations, and local farmers to drive sustainable agricultural growth in Telangana.
