Digamber Kamat, Minister for Public Works Department (PWD), Captain of Ports, and Legal Metrology (Weights and Measures) Government of Goa, along with Nikhil Dessai, Secretary of Ports, Government of Goa, and Octavio Rodrigues, Captain of Ports, Government of Goa, visited Mormugao Port Authority (MPA).

During the visit, the delegation held a detailed discussion with Dr N Vinodkumar, Chairperson, Mormugao Port Authority, Vinayaka Rao, Deputy Chairperson, MPA, and Heads of Departments of MPA and representatives of the Government of Goa.

The meeting focused on various issues concerning the port related and maritime sector, with constructive discussions aimed at strengthening coordination between Mormugao Port Authority and the Government of Goa.

The deliberations emphasised collaborative efforts for the sustainable development, operational efficiency and overall growth of Mormugao Port and the State of Goa.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment of MPA and the Government of Goa towards working together in the larger interest of the maritime sector and the people of Goa.
