Foundation laid for railway staff quarters at Sewa Nagar Colony
Manoj Garg, Vice Chairman, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), laid the foundation stone, marking an important step towards strengthening residential infrastructure for railway personnel.
The construction is targeted for completion within a challenging timeframe of two years, despite the prolonged non-working periods associated with GRAP restrictions in Delhi.
Spread across 6.7 acres, the project will comprise 278 Type-II staff quarters, a community hall and modern residential amenities. The project, estimated at ₹77 crore, is being undertaken through a developer under the PPP mode.
The development will provide quality housing and improved community facilities for railway personnel while ensuring optimum and sustainable utilisation of valuable railway land.
RLDA, a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways, continues to support the modernisation of Indian Railways through transparent, sustainable and future-ready development of railway land assets.
278 new homes. Better amenities. A stronger railway community.
