The Review Meetings on States On-Account Payment (OAP), expenditure and services on medical care for Insured Persons through State run dispensaries and hospitals were held at ESIC Headquarters, New Delhi, from 5–7 August 2026.

The closing session was presided by Ashok Kumar Singh, Director General, ESIC. He appreciated the progress and valuable suggestions from the States. He also emphasised the use of Aadhaar and biometric authentication, wherever required, to strengthen systems, improve hospital services and enhance the efficiency of the IP database and the formation of Society for ease of funding.

The review was attended by State representatives and focused on the expenditure pattern, performance, challenges and infrastructure issues  of the state ESI scheme. Senior officers of ESIC including the Financial Commissioner and the Medical Commissioners (HQs), Zonal Medical Commissioners, Regional Directors provided clarifications, guidelines and directions in keeping with ESIC’s commitment for responsive financial oversight, stronger coordination, better utilisation of resources and improved medical services for Insured Persons.
