Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, accompanied by Chairperson Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, visited the Digital Twin Facility at V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, where a live demonstration was presented, walking the Secretary through how the technology creates a virtual replica of the entire port — enabling real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and smarter decision-making without disrupting ground operations.

He engaged closely with the technology, noting its potential in transforming how major ports are managed and monitored. The facility stands as one of the Port's boldest steps yet in its journey toward becoming a digitally empowered, future-ready maritime hub.
