Ashish Tirkey, Director (Coal), Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and an officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), visited Western Coalfields Limited. During his visit to the Company Headquarters in Nagpur, he called on Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Chairman-cum-Managing Director and Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & HR), WCL. The discussions covered WCL’s operational performance, financial management, audit-related issues, corporate governance and key strategic initiatives. Tirkey appreciated WCL’s efforts towards sustainable mining, adoption of modern technologies and efficient resource management, while emphasizing the importance of transparency, financial discipline and operational excellence.
