Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director/OP&BD, along with S P Verma, GGM/BD&BA, and Nitin Bansal, GGM/OP&BD, held a meeting with N Sivasailam, former Special Secretary (Logistics), Department of Commerce, Government of India, and Advisor, All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA), to deliberate on accelerating the expansion of DFCCIL's Trucks on Train service.

The discussions focused on leveraging the Dedicated Freight Corridor to strengthen road-rail integration and promote the Trucks on Train service as a sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective logistics solution. Key areas of deliberation included increasing stakeholder participation, enhancing first- and last-mile connectivity, reducing transit time and fuel consumption, lowering logistics costs, and encouraging greater modal shift from road to rail in line with the vision of the National Logistics Policy and PM Gati Shakti.
