Cslcochin was launched at Kochi
The seventh Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC), indigenously designed and built by Cslcochin was launched at Kochi by Mrs Goolrukh Anand in the presence of Vice Admiral Atul Anand, Addl Secretary DMA, on July 29, 2026.
Powered by three waterjets and equipped with state-of-the-art underwater sensors, advanced weapons and mine-laying capabilities, the ship is a potent ASW platform that will significantly strengthen Indian Navy's Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities in the Indian Ocean Region IOR.
The ship is named after Machilipatnam, the historic port city of AndhraPradesh, reflecting India’s Maritime rich heritage and enduring seafaring traditions.
