Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, chaired a review meeting at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, to assess the progress made by the Task Force on the Transformation of Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) and Credit Cooperative Societies.

The meeting reviewed the Task Force’s recommendations and deliberated on the roadmap for strengthening the Urban Cooperative Banking sector through policy reforms, enhanced governance, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.

The meeting was attended by Raman Kumar, Joint Secretary; Kumar Ram Krishna, Director, Ministry of Cooperation; Laxmi Dass, Chairman; Rakesh Kumar Deo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NAFCUB; along with other senior officials of the Ministry of Cooperation and NAFCUB.
