CMD NHPC with Board Members visit CVPPL Projects in Kishtwar
Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC, and Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC, undertook a three-day visit to the ongoing projects of CVPPL in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir, from 05.07.2026 to 07.07.2026 to review the progress of various construction activities.
On their arrival in Kishtwar, the dignitaries were accorded a warm welcome by Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, CVPPL, along with the Heads of Projects of CVPPL.
The review commenced on July 6, 2026 with a visit to the Pakal Dul Dam Site at Dangduru, where the dignitaries inspected the ongoing construction works and reviewed the overall project progress. They subsequently visited the Kwar Hydroelectric Project and CMD inaugurated the TRT outlet Bridge. The erection works of the Draft tube Elbow of Unit 4 was also inaugurated thereby starting the E&M erection works. Thereafter, they proceeded to the Kiru Hydroelectric Project and reviewed the progress of Dam and Power House works of the project and witnessed the lowering of the 38 ton Runner of Unit No. 2 at the Power House, marking another significant milestone in the project’s execution.
On July 7, 2026, CMD chaired a series of review meetings with various stakeholders to assess the progress of the projects. He emphasized the need for continued coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the timely commissioning of the CVPPL projects.
Ramesh Mukhiya conveyed his sincere gratitude to the visiting dignitaries for their valuable guidance, continued support, and encouragement in the successful implementation of the hydropower projects being developed by CVPPL.
