On the 155th birth anniversary of Kappalottiya Tamizhan V O Chidambaram, the HoDs, officials and employees of Chennai Port Authority, headed by S Viswanathan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, ChPA and Smt. Anugraha P., IAS,  Chief Vigilance Officer, ChPA, offered flowers to the revered statue near the Harbour Main Gate.

On this day, we are proud to celebrate the legacy of this legendary figure and his contributions to the country's freedom struggle, which includes The Swadeshi Steam Navigation Company established in 1905 during the Swadeshi movement.
