Chairman Dr Shaji outlines NABARD's climate strategy 2030
Dr Shaji Krishnan V, Chairman, NABARD, delivered a clear imperative - climate finance must reach the last mile.

In his keynote address, the Chairman emphasised placing rural communities at the heart of India's climate transition. Outlining NABARD's Climate Strategy 2030, he identified four strategic priorities for strengthening rural resilience: sustainable agriculture, water security, climate-resilient rural livelihoods, and inclusive last-mile finance.

As climate risks mount across agriculture, water resources, and livelihoods, the challenge is not merely financing green growth but ensuring investments build adaptive capacity where it is needed most. Through green lending, innovative financing instruments, technology-driven solutions, and global partnerships, NABARD remains committed to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable rural transition.

The ET India Net Zero Forum, organised by ETEnergyWorld, serves as a vital platform for advancing India's sustainable development agenda.
