GRSE has been awarded the prestigious 'Rajbhasha Shield' - First Prize for the year 2025-26 for the second consecutive year for its excellent implementation of the Official Language. This award was presented by Umesh Rai, Minister of State, Government of West Bengal, at the Half-Yearly Review Meeting held on 25th August 2026 at Dhanodhanayo Auditorium, Kolkata by NARAKAS (Undertaking-2), Kolkata, constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The award was received by Commodore PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director, GRSE.

On this occasion, Ajay Gautam, Senior Manager (CC), Abhishek Bhattacharya, Supervisor (Law), and Mrs. Nabanita Bera, Senior Manager (ES) of GRSE were also awarded in the Hindi Travelogue Competition and Hindi Essay Competition respectively in various Hindi competitions organized by NARAKAS (Undertaking-2) during the year. Also, on 21 June 2026, Manish Kumar Singh, Senior Manager (Official Language) was awarded with a commendation plaque for his effective and lively stage management at the same day launch ceremony of three warships built by GRSE by the Prime Minister.
