Several decisions in the public interest were taken in the 92nd Board Meeting of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. The major decisions are as follows:

Establishment of a Medical Hub on 500 acres of land in Sectors 13 and 14 under institutional land use.

Development of a University Township on 480 acres of land in Sector 14. Establishment of a Mandi on approximately 36 acres of land in Sector 34.

Approximately 50 acres of land has been identified in Sector 23D for an advanced international stadium. These projects will create new opportunities for higher education, promote sporting talent and provide modern mandi facilities to farmers in the region.

Keeping in view the convenience of entrepreneurs, passengers and the general public near Noida Airport, a decision has been taken to identify land in Sector 23C for the establishment of an inter-state bus terminal.

The Board of Directors has approved a proposal to reserve 300 acres of land in Sector 06 for setting up a Taiwan City for Taiwan-based industries. This initiative will play an important role in strengthening future investment in the electronics and technology manufacturing sector.

Keeping in view Uttar Pradesh's industrial growth, investment promotion, expansion of pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity and the goal of Viksit Bharat@2047, the Board of Directors has decided to reserve approximately 100 to 125 acres of land in Sector 06 for the development of a dedicated Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing Cluster.

The proposed cluster will facilitate the establishment of reputed pharmaceutical manufacturing units for producing Tablets, Capsules, Injectables, Oral Liquids, Tropical Preparations and Finished Dosage Forms in accordance with national and international Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is expected to strengthen the Global Pharma Value Chain, attract investment from reputed national and international companies and generate employment, helping Uttar Pradesh emerge as a leading Pharma Manufacturing Hub.

The Board of Directors has approved a proposal for establishing a Medical Device Testing Facility in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority's Medical Device Park, in accordance with the FDA Accreditation Scheme for Conformity Assessment (ASCA). It has also approved the formation of a Technical Expert Committee to examine the technical, financial and institutional aspects of the project.

At present, Indian medical device manufacturers have to depend on laboratories located abroad for product testing and conformity assessment. As a result, the cost, time and competitiveness of Indian industry are affected. The establishment of an international-level testing facility will significantly benefit medical device manufacturers and MSMEs in India and abroad, while also helping attract exports and investment.

The facility will provide testing capabilities for Electrical Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Mechanical Performance, Software Validation, Sterilization and Packaging Validation. Testing services in accordance with international standards will be made available not only to allottees of the Medical Device Park but also to medical device manufacturers across the country.

The Board of Directors of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has approved the construction of a culvert (minor bridge) over the Karban River on the service road at Chainage 161-21 of the Yamuna Expressway, in the Authority area of Agra district.

During the monsoon season, the service road currently gets disrupted due to severe waterlogging, causing significant inconvenience to local residents. The construction of the culvert will ensure smooth traffic movement on the service road even during the rainy season and provide safe and uninterrupted connectivity to local residents.

Considering the rapid industrial and infrastructure development in the region, the Board of Directors of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has approved a proposal for re-determination of land purchase rates based on mutual consent with farmers.

Under the proposal, for planned development of Phase-1 areas of the Authority in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts, useful land for planning purposes will be purchased through mutual consent. The existing rate of ₹4,300 per square metre has been increased by 6% to ₹4,558 per square metre. Alternatively, the second option provides for a rate of ₹4,037 per square metre along with 7% developed residential plot entitlement. The Board of Directors has approved the proposal.
